Reduce Component Marking
Removing component marking after the punch or press brake operations can prove a costly and time consuming experience. If we can eliminate the marking then we can reduce the secondary cleaning operation required, which obviously saves time and money. Here are some examples where we can put this into practice.

Tapping Tools "High speed productivity"
	There are numerous ways of decreasing secondary operations in the punching cell, however few have such a massive impact in increasing productivity as Amada's range of Tapping Tools. While reducing labour and part costs, the user can also make dramatic improvements upon speed, accuracy and overall consistency by eliminating the "missed tapped hole" syndrome which all too often occurs with manual based tapping. With Amada's range of Tapping Tools it is now possible to tap from M2 ~ M8.
'D' Station Tapping Tool

'C' Station Tapping Tool
The range of tools is split into two styles. The thick turret ‘C’ Station Tapping Tool is able to tap holes from M2.5 ~ M6, by incorporating an interchangeable cartridge system, which allows for quick change over of tap sizes, thus reducing set-up time and tooling costs. The ‘C’ Station Tapping Tool converts the striker stroke into tap rotation via a "ball screw method". This mechanical procedure produces a rolled thread, which is much stronger than a cut thread. The thick turret ‘D’ Station Tapping Tool incorporates an interchangeable cartridge/spindle system making it possible to tap from M2 ~ M8. The tool is pneumatically controlled via the machines Airblow system, and is only compatible with Vipros machines.


Locator Tool "Providing positive location for spot-welding"
	Amada's Locator Tool provides positive location for all spot welding purposes, and eliminates any visible marking on the outside of the component.
The tool is located in the ‘B’ station auto-index. When the punch tip hits the material, the Locator Tool performs a small forming operation and displaces material upwards by approx. 0.4 - 0.6mm. The tool is then rotated 90 degrees and the process is repeated at a different co-ordinate. Positive location can now be achieved. The locator tool eliminates the need for the manufacture of any assembly fixtures, saving production time and costs.
